Information We Collect

Google Account Data

When you authorize Otto to access your Google account, we may request permissions to access various Google services, including but not limited to:

  • Gmail (read, send, modify, and delete emails)

  • Google Drive (view, create, modify, and delete files and folders)

  • Google Calendar (view, create, modify, and delete calendar events)

  • Google Sheets (view, create, and edit spreadsheets)

How We Use Your Information

Otto uses your Google account data solely for the following purposes:

  1. Automation Execution: To perform the specific automation workflows you create and configure within the Otto platform

  2. Workflow Processing: To execute tasks such as reading data, creating content, sending communications, or modifying information based on your automation rules

  3. Service Functionality: To enable the core features of Otto's automation capabilities

We do NOT use your Google data for:

  • Advertising or marketing purposes

  • Training machine learning models (except for your personal automation optimization)

  • Selling or renting to third parties

  • Any purpose other than executing your specified automation workflows

Data Storage and Retention

Temporary Storage

Otto stores your Google account data temporarily in our n8n workflow execution environment only for the duration necessary to complete your automation tasks. Specifically:

  • Data is processed in memory during workflow execution

  • Temporary data storage occurs only as required for multi-step automation processes

  • All data is automatically deleted upon completion of the workflow execution

  • No permanent copies of your Google data are maintained on our servers

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL)

  • Secure storage of OAuth tokens and credentials

  • Access controls and authentication mechanisms

  • Regular security assessments and updates

Data Sharing and Third-Party Access

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your Google account data to any third parties. Your data remains within the Otto platform and is used exclusively for your automation workflows.

The only exception is the necessary communication between Otto and Google's servers to execute API calls as part of your authorized workflows.

  • You can revoke Otto's access to your Google account at any time

  • Revoking access automatically prevents future data collection

  • Since we do not permanently store your Google data, no historical data exists to delete beyond OAuth credentials

OAuth Scopes and Permissions

Otto requests OAuth scopes based on the specific automation workflows you wish to create. The principle of "least privilege" is applied where possible, but comprehensive automation often requires broad permissions. Common scopes requested include:

Limited Use Disclosure

Otto's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • Otto only uses access to read, write, modify, or control Gmail message bodies (including attachments), metadata, headers, and settings to provide Otto's automation functionality as explicitly requested by the user

  • Otto does not transfer this Gmail data to others unless doing so is necessary to provide and improve Otto's features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

  • Otto does not use this Gmail data for serving advertisements

  • Otto does not allow humans to read this data unless we have your affirmative agreement for specific messages, doing so is necessary for security purposes, or complying with applicable law

Children's Privacy

Otto is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@runyon.dev.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by:

Your data may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where Runyon Solutions or its service providers operate. By using Otto, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws.
